A 220kV transmission line in Zhejiang Province, with a total length of 13.868 kilometers and a cable section length of 2628 meters, was installed with a high-voltage cable fault diagnosis device in the cable section in May 2019.

On July 13, 2020, a fault trip occurred. The monitoring device successfully detected the fault data and issued an alert SMS. According to the diagnostic results, the O&M personnel went to inspect, and found that the actual result had a positioning error of only 5 meters with the system conclusion.

The application of this system can achieve interval and precise positioning of fault points, as well as warning and positioning of hidden discharge. It clarifies the responsible units for line operation and maintenance management, shortens the time for line fault operation and maintenance, and improves the intelligent management level

A 110kV cable line with a total length of 4328 meters was installed with a high-voltage cable fault diagnosis device on April 25, 2021.

On June 4, 2021, a fault trip occurred. The monitoring device successfully detected the fault data and issued an alert SMS. According to the diagnostic results, the O&M personnel went to inspect, and found that the actual result had a positioning error of only 6 meters with the system conclusion.

The application of this system has achieved precise positioning of fault points, guided line inspections and maintenance, quickly resolved faults, and restored power supply in a timely manner.
